Prologue
A FEW WORDS FROM JENNY
Hello, I'm Jenny.
After falling deeply in love with Canada during a short language study program in Vancouver during high school, I decided to start the second chapter of my life in Calgary. I believe that decision to start anew in a foreign land is what has shaped me into who I am today.
With new AI tools emerging by the day, I view this change not as a threat, but as an opportunity. This is because I believe that as technology evolves rapidly, the role of the person who uses it meaningfully becomes even more important.
Solving problems with technology and adding meaning through creativity - that is the direction I pursue. As I continue to learn and grow, I hope that what I create will bring small, positive changes to someone's life.

During my childhood in Seoul, a computer was nothing more than a magical box that ran games with dazzling graphics. But at some point, I began to feel curious about what was happening beyond the rules of the game, behind the screen. Growing up in the dynamic environment of Korea, I learned to adapt quickly to change and developed a vague yet deep admiration for the power of technology that underpinned it all.

In 2023, starting a new life in Calgary, where I didn’t know a single soul, was the boldest decision of my life. My time majoring in software development went beyond simply learning coding skills; it was a period of self-cultivation and personal growth in an unfamiliar environment. Calgary’s vast landscapes taught me the emotional resilience and perseverance needed to push past my technical limits.

Watching the few lines of text I typed come to life on the screen felt like magic. Sometimes I wouldn’t understand a single line of code and would just stare blankly at the monitor all day. But the thrill of finally finding a solution after enduring those frustrating moments is exactly what made me fall in love with coding.

Currently, I am exploring ways to build better interfaces at the intersection of engineering and design. In today’s world, where technology is advancing by leaps and bounds and AI has become an integral part of our daily lives, I believe the role of a developer goes beyond simply writing code - it lies in giving meaning to technology. I look forward to trusting my intuition and creativity to solve meaningful problems that can bring small but positive changes to people’s lives.
